We always welcome applications and will continue accepting qualified students throughout the summer, as long as space is available. Please note that the information and dates listed below are from our standard admissions process beginning in January of each year. Tours, testing and play groups can be scheduled on an individual basis. If you would like application information for the upcoming year or a tour of the school, please contact our office at 334.395.8222.

PRE-KINDERGARTEN AND KINDERGARTEN
Play Groups
Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten applicants are invited to a brief “play group” session. This session allows us to observe applicant’s interaction and behavior in a group setting. These “play groups” are held at 1:00 p.m. during the first three weeks in February. Please call Marleen Eastman (334-395-8222) to schedule your child‘s session.
Parent Questionnaire
While your child is participating in a “play group” session, you will be given a parent questionnaire. Please complete and return this questionnaire by the admission process deadline of February 17, 2012.
The Admissions Test (Kindergarten Only)
All prospective kindergarteners take a standardized readiness test. This test screens key developmental traits across a broad range of skills necessary to begin school. It is designed to assist in making decisions concerning a child’s readiness to begin kindergarten. Parents of prospective kindergarteners should call Marleen Eastman (334-395-8222) to schedule an individual test time. All testing should be completed by February 17, 2012.
Teacher Evaluation
Complete and give your child’s current teacher the Teacher Evaluation form for prospective pre-kindergarteners and kindergarteners and the return envelope. The teacher should return this Evaluation Form by February 17, 2012.
The following should all be completed and in the office at Holy Cross by February 17, 2012 to receive first consideration.
Pre-Kindergarten

A campus visit for the candidate and family is recommended. Additional testing and/or a class day visit may be requested by the Admissions Committee.
GRADES FIRST THROUGH SIXTH
The Application Form

The Admissions Test
An entrance exam is required. The fee for this test is covered in the application fee. Prospective first through sixth graders will be tested on a date and time tba. Please call the office (334-395-8222) to register your child for this test. If you miss this testing session, please call the school office to reschedule this test. Testing should be completed by February 27, 2012 to receive first consideration.
Teacher Evaluation
A teacher evaluation form from your child’s teacher is required. Complete and give your child’s current teacher the Teacher Evaluation 1st-6th grade form and the return envelope. This Teacher Evaluation should be received by Holy Cross by February 27, 2012.
School Records
A copy of your child’s transcript and standardized test scores are required. Complete and give to your child’s current school the Records Release form. These records must be received by Holy Cross by February 27, 2012. (Form can be downloaded on the Application Forms page)
The following should be completed by February 27, 2012 to receive first consideration.
