Exceptional Enrichments

Enrichments

In addition to a strong academic program, students receive exceptional instruction in a variety of subjects aimed at identifying and developing natural talent.  Enrichment curriculum is for all students, including Pre-K and Kindergartners.  Students attend essential enrichment classes weekly.

  • Spanish – Students learn fluid writing and language conversation through hands-on participation three to four days per week.
  • Fine Art – In art, all students engage in activities ranging from crayon and watercolor self-portraits to copper repoussé and polymer clay sculptures.
  • Music – A lively music program engages students’ natural learning ability through performances, games, dance and unusual instruments such as resonator bells and the washboard.
  • Computer Technology – Students learn to use Microsoft programs including:  Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher. Students apply these skills to classroom presentations, book reports and visual arts projects.
  • Library – All students are encouraged and rewarded to use the Accelerated Reader Program.  There is library access, even during the summer, to an extensive collection of over 10,000 materials.
