The Footprints Ministry was the focus of this year's outreach project. We collected receiving blankets for the babies in the neonatal intensive care units at Baptist East and Baptist South. These are called " scent blankets ". The mom sleeps with the blanket and then it is placed in the incubator with the baby. The blanket calms the baby and that helps its little body gain weight.
In addition, we collected items for the " House of Hope ". This is a house here in Montgomery that was donated to house an out of town family while their baby is in the NICU. Items donated were: paper plates, toilet paper, paper towels, travel size Kleenex, laundry detergent, and Clorox wipes. The items were blessed in chapel on April 1, 2015.
Please open your hearts to help these precious babies and their families.
